Moscato d’Asti

Let’s start our journey with the ever-popular Moscato d’Asti. Hailing from the Piedmont region, this sparkling white wine is crafted from the aromatic Muscat grape. Known for its light effervescence, Moscato d’Asti tantalizes the palate with notes of peach, apricot, and orange blossom. Its natural sweetness makes it an ideal pairing for fruit-based desserts or a simple panettone, making it a festive favorite.

Vin Santo

A classic Tuscan treat, Vin Santo, or “holy wine,” is a luxurious dessert wine with a deep amber hue. Made from dried Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, the wine is aged in small wooden barrels, imparting complex flavors of dried fruits, honey, and nuts. We recommend sipping on Vin Santo alongside biscotti or almond-based desserts.

Recioto della Valpolicella

Venture into the Veneto region and discover the lusciousness of Recioto della Valpolicella. Crafted from the same grapes used to produce Amarone, this red dessert wine is made using a unique appassimento process where the grapes are dried before fermentation. The result is a wine with rich, raisin-like flavors, complemented by hints of chocolate and spice. Pair it with chocolate desserts or aged cheeses for a decadent Christmas treat.

Passito di Pantelleria

For a taste of the Mediterranean, look no further than Passito di Pantelleria. Hailing from the island of Pantelleria in Sicily, this sweet wine is produced from sun-dried Zibibbo grapes. With its golden color and intense aromas of apricot, citrus, and honey, Passito di Pantelleria is a delightful companion to traditional Sicilian sweets like cannoli or cassata.
